Our History

The Dabney Cellar, or "The Cellar," as it is affectionately known, opened in 2017 as a casual wine bar offspring by the Michelin starred restaurant The Dabney and its award winning cocktail program.   

The Cellar

Step downstairs into The Cellar, a warm and intimate cocktail bar tucked beneath our dining room. Designed as a space for gathering, The Cellar showcases a seasonal cocktail menu inspired by Mid-Atlantic ingredients, alongside thoughtfully selected wines and beers. Our raw bar takes center stage with freshly shucked oysters and seafood-driven small plates, perfect for pairing with a crisp martini or sparkling pour. Whether joining us for a pre-dinner drink, a late-night celebration, or a casual evening of oysters and cocktails, The Cellar offers an inviting setting with the same hospitality and attention to detail that define The Dabney upstairs.

Private Events

The Cellar is available for private gatherings of up to 45 guests. Set beneath The Dabney, the space offers a relaxed, brick-lined setting with a cocktail-forward bar, fresh oysters, and a seafood-focused menu. It’s an ideal venue for celebrations, receptions, or corporate events, all with the attentive service and hospitality of The Dabney team..
